Ms. Bharathi had submitted her doctoral thesis in Management at Central University of Tamil Nadu, done her M. Phil in Hospital and Health Systems Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan as work-integrated Programme, Masters in Business Administration specialised in Hospital and Health Systems Management from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, PG Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, Karnataka, Masters in Psychology from University of Madras. She holds B.Sc. in Nursing from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Ms. Bharathi passed UGC National Eligibility Test in Management in 2021. She has to her credit research papers published in patient rights, Health insurance and hospital administration in Scopus indexed and UGC CARE listed journals.

Before joining IIHMR Bangalore, she has worked as a teaching faculty at Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, a Category I University accredited by NIRF, NAAC, NBA and others. She has more than six years of industry experience in hospital administration at teaching hospitals with more than 600 beds. She was instrumental in establishment of new institutions and accreditation in her earlier assignments. She also got trained in student journalism, served as a Content Editor and Managing Editor for University and Faculty Newsletter respectively. She won prizes for Tamil poetry and extempore. She also served as a facilitator for Jagriti Yatra 2017.
