About Hospital Management

        PGDM in Hospital Management is a two-year full-time AICTE-approved programme designed by Hospital Industry experts to prepare students to work in Hospitals and Healthcare companies. In the first year, students would study the basics of healthcare and management. In the second year, students would specialise in Hospital Management/Administration stream and learn the management aspects of Hospitals.

        PGDM in Hospital Management / Administration is a specialised course meant to impart administrative and management skills; to work, manage and lead in the Hospital sector. IIHMR Bangalore’s PGDM in Hospital Management/Administration aims to prepare students to efficiently work in Operations, Patient care, Quality, Information Management, Marketing, Human Resources, Planning, Strategy, Development, Supply Chain Management, Procedures and documentation of various requirements in the hospital sector. The course also covers two months of intensive summer training and four months of dissertation (internship) before campus placements; which can help students practically understand and gather knowledge on adequate hospital management and administrative practices to make them  job-ready.

        Students after completion of this course can look at lucrative career options and campus placements in Clinical Operations, Non – Clinical Operations, HR, Administration, Quality, Sales, Business Development, Health Finance, Patient care, Customer Service, Telemedicine, Medical Tourism, etc.

The course curriculum is designed to learn from classroom education from our faculties and gain practical knowledge and industry exposure with summer training, internships, field visits and guest lectures from Industry experts.

Since IIHMR Bangalore is an autonomous Institution approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, GoI; we keep upgrading our curriculum as and when required per the Industry’s expectation. Hence, the curriculum followed by IIHMR Bangalore is Industry-relevant and the need of the hour for people interested in shaping their career in the Public Health sector.

The course will include two months of summer training towards the end of the first year, and four months of internship (dissertation work) towards the end of the second year.

Note: The curriculum may be subjected to undergo changes as per the suggestions of AAC (Academic Advisory Council).

  • If you are unable to apply online or if the online application portal is not convenient for you, please send an email to admissions@iihmrbangalore.edu.in or WhatsApp to 9663866011 and seek a manual application form.
  • We will send you the manual application form. You can take a printout, fill it out by hand, scan and send it back by e-mail to admissions@iihmrbangalore.edu.in. You can also submit the original hard copy of the form when you come to campus directly.
  • You can transfer the application fee of 1000 INR to the Institute’s bank account and send the reference number for your application to be considered processing.

Scholarships
  • Any student, who has secured more than or equal to 75% aggregate marks, would be eligible for the scholarship of 50% tuition fee waiver in the 1st year.
  • SC/ST/OBC and Economically weaker section (EWS), who has secured more than or equal to 50% aggregate marks, would be eligible for the scholarship of 50% tuition fee waiver in the 1st year
  • 50% concession on the total fee for the serving army officials joining the PGDM program.
  • North East students, 20% fee waiver

 

(Note: The scholarship would be offered as fee waiver in the 3rd installment fee payable for the PGDM program.)

Scholarships are on first come first serve merit basis subject to fulfilling the above criteria.

Scholarship for MBBS candidates
  •  Any student, who has more than 60% aggregate marks in MBBS, would get a scholarship of 50% tuition fee of 1st year of PGDM.
  • Any student, who has more than 50% and less than 60% aggregate marks in MBBS, would get a scholarship of 20% tuition fee of 1st year of PGDM.

 

(Note: The Scholarship would be provided as a fee waiver in the Third/ Fourth Installment fee payable for the PGDM Course.)

Scholarships are on first come first serve merit basis subject to fulfilling the above criteria.

  • Any student, who has more than 60% and less than 65% aggregate marks in AYUSH/BDS/Allied Health Science, would get a scholarship of 20% tuition fee of 1st year of PGDM.

Bank Loan Assistance

The course is approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA, NABET, and AIU. Hence, all major banks will be willing to provide educational loan for this course. The Institute will support and facilitate the student with the bank loan-related documents required from the Institute. Students can obtain bank loan documents from our Accounts Department after paying the first Installment fee.

  • The above-given Hostel charges are only for the above mentioned period. If a student wants to stay for longer duration, he/she may deposit an extra amount according to the period (Subject to availability).
  • No refund will be entertained.
