Dr. Usha Manjunath, a Healthcare Management Academician, did her M.Sc. (Speech & Hearing) from AIISH, Mysore and M.Phil (Hospital & Health Systems Management) and Ph.D. in Quality Management from BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan, India. She has completed a Certification Program in Strategic Leadership and Management in Healthcare in December 2012 by IIHMR, Delhi and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She has 31 years of experience, 13 years in Speech and Hearing and rest as Management Faculty with a behavioural science focus. Dr. Usha’s experience includes academics/teaching, training & capacity building, entrepreneurship, community/social development work including healthcare management. Starting her career in the professional field of Speech Pathology and Audiology she worked in various organizations including Not-for-profit Organizations, Schools and Hospitals in India and U.S.A. During her tenure at BITS, Pilani as a Management faculty, she taught a variety of courses in Psychology and Management for MBA, M.Phil and MPH students. As a faculty coordinator she contributed to community based rural development projects in the areas of woman and child health, women entrepreneurial activities, and primary school education in rural Rajasthan. Through the activities of Rural Entrepreneurship as a Nucleus Member of Entrepreneurship Development and IPR Unit of BITS, Pilani, she developed a greater understanding of projects in the areas of innovations in Healthcare Delivery, Social Mobilization, People Engagement, and Participative Management. As a Professor and Dean-Academics and Student Affairs at IIHMR, Bangalore she taught, conducted training and research. She teaches Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Communication, Services/Healthcare Services Management, Principles of Management for Hospitals/Public Health, Strategy, Marketing & Quality Management of Healthcare Services and Entrepreneurship. She is invited as ‘Guest Faculty’ and ‘Subject Expert’ at RGIPH, Padmashree School of Public Health, M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences, Manipal University, BITS, Pilani, SIHFW, PHFI, Nazareth College of Arts and Science and other colleges. Dr. Usha has carried out research work in the area of Primary Health Care, Reproductive and Child Health, Process Evaluation of Universal Immunization Program and Maternal Perceptions on Immunization and Quality/Process Management in Hospitals. Her research expertise includes mixed methodologies, stakeholder analysis, and strategy. She has worked with GoK, UNICEF, Alive & Thrive, Deaf Child Worldwide, ICMR, ICSSR, Food & Nutrition Board-GoI, Association of Persons with Disabilities and other NGOs for maternal-child health, baseline/end line evaluation, IEC/BCC in public health, nutrition (life cycle) and public health projects. She has networked and collaborated with Corporate companies, Government, NGOs, etc and successfully organized various National and International Level conventions, conferences, technical sessions, seminars and workshops on Healthcare/Hospital Management, Technology Entrepreneurship and related areas. Usha is well versed in conducting workshops and training on Quality & Marketing in Healthcare, Entrepreneurship, Personality, Motivation, Leadership, Life Style/Stress/Conflict Management, Communication and Emotional Intelligence. Dr. Usha has presented and published research articles in National and International Conferences/Seminars/Journals. She was conferred with the ‘Outstanding Editor’ award by AIMS International in 2011. She has authored a book Total Quality in Healthcare-An Empirical Investigation Rawat Publications, Jaipur, 2012 based on her doctoral research work, supported by the ICSSR grant. Allen P. Ugargol is a public health specialist and a doctoral researcher in population ageing, migration, mobility, and family/societal response to ageing in India. He has over 15+ years of rich experience in public health, healthcare consulting, hospital management, and health informatics with skills in conceptualization, developing and implementing programmes, monitoring, and evaluation, implementation research and operational research. Dr. Allen, apart from his Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery, holds an MPH degree from the prestigious Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum, a Fellowship in Health Informatics (FHI) from LSHTM, London, a PGDM from Symbiosis Centre for Health Care, Pune and is defending his Ph.D. thesis at the University of Groningen, Netherlands shortly. Dr. Allen is proficient in networking with development partners, learning and development, collaborative research, writing research proposals, designing research projects, implementing public health programmes, monitoring and evaluation, academic assessment, impact assessment, and evidence-based policy development. He consults as a technical specialist for a number of multi-lateral agencies (UNICEF, World Bank, etc.) and is a member of technical advisory committees for various research bodies.

Dr. R. Sarala is a Social Scientist with Ph.D. in Sociology from the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bangalore, one of the renowned Social Science Institutions in India. She also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM. She was a recipient of a research fellowship from the Indian Council for Social Science Research (ICSSR) for pursuing a Ph.D. She has also passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship in Sociology, conducted by UGC, New Delhi. She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in the field of Health Policy, and Healthcare Delivery Systems, Research Methodology, Health Systems Research, and Human Resource Management. She has a profound experience in public health research projects with skills in concept development and implementation. She is proficient in carrying out Evaluation and Implementation Research, Health System Research and Social and Behavioural Change Communication (IEC Materials-content development & pre-testing) in the area of Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition and WASH among Tribal and Urban Slum communities. She has been involving (as PI and Team Member) in various projects funded by national and international organizations such as ICMR, UNICEF, Alive & Thrive (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), United Way and HCL Foundation, etc. She possesses good experience in carrying out qualitative data collection and analysis of quantitative data by using statistical packages such as SPSS.

Dr.Supten Sarbadhikari is a medical doctor from the University of Calcutta and he did his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from IT-BHU, Varanasi. Currently, he is the Founder Director and CIO (Chief Information Officer), Innovmedcare. Formerly he was Dean (Academics and Student Affairs) and Professor (Health Informatics) at IIHMR, Delhi. Previously, he was leading a Project of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, as the Project Director for the Centre for Health Informatics of the National Health Portal (NHP). He is an Expert Adviser for the ELAG (e-Learning Advisory Group) of SNOMED-CT (2015-18). He has been the Founder and Director of Supten Institute (offering online courses on health informatics) and a Visiting Professor in Health Informatics at Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has been the Founding Director of CAL2CAL Institute, a faculty member with the Manipal Group, IIT Kharagpur, Amrita group and PSG group. He obtained his Post-doctoral Fellowship at the Machine Intelligence Unit of Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Dr. Tara M.S. is an Independent Consultant with an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Food Science and Nutrition from Manasagangothri, University of Mysore. She has had a long, illustrious career in the field of Public Nutrition, Health, and Child Development. As the former Regional Director of the National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Development NIPCCD (2005-2014), she has spearheaded large scale projects across the country. Her expertise in the field of Teaching, Training, Policy Research, and her strong academic pursuits, her interest in the development sector makes her a unique professional. She has been actively associated with many Government Departments and Sectors, Corporate bodies, Civil Societies, besides International Organizations including UNICEF, World Bank, CARE India, etc in various professional endeavors. Currently working as CEO of BAL Pharma, Akash Mathur has vast pharma experience in the US & Canada including a start-up and advisory role to several small and medium companies followed by 10 years of working leading pharma companies like Dr Reddy’s Labs and Tata Group, thereby bringing an international orientation and systems implementation to their businesses before joining Bal Pharma Ltd. He has completed his Masters in Biophysics from AIIMS, PhD (Human Pathology) from St. Louis University and MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Karuna Rameshkumar graduated from Madras University and had Postgraduate training including Ph.D. from St. John’s Medical College. She worked in various capacities in St. John’s Medical College hospital for 33 years and is continuing as Chairperson of the Institutional Ethics Committee after retirement. As head of the laboratory services, she was instrumental in getting lab accredited and St. John’s Medical College Hospital Laboratory services were the first medical college to get laboratory accreditation. She is a faculty for GCLP (Good clinical laboratory practices) training, Internal Audit Training, and Quality Control Practices. She is an assessor for NABL and NABH –Blood Bank.
