Dr. Karuna Ramesh Kumar

Dr. Karuna Rameshkumar graduated from Madras University and had Postgraduate training including Ph.D. from St. Johns Medical College. She worked in various capacities in St. Johns Medical College hospital for 33 years and is continuing as Chairperson of the Institutional Ethics Committee after retirement.

As head of the laboratory services, she was instrumental in getting lab accredited and St. Johns Medical College Hospital Laboratory services were the first medical college to get laboratory accreditation. She is a faculty for GCLP (Good clinical laboratory practices) training, Internal Audit Training, and Quality Control Practices. She is an assessor for NABL and NABH Blood Bank.
