Dr. Shreekant G. Naik is a seasoned academician and pharmaceutical sales and marketing professional with over 24 years of combined industry and teaching experience. He currently serves as Associate Professor in Pharma Management at IIHMR Bangalore. He has previously served at Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, KLS Institute of Management Education and Research, and Adept Institute of Management Studies and Research, contributing significantly to academic development, research, and industry engagement. He earned his PhD in Marketing from Jain University, focusing on pharmaceutical salesforce effectiveness and frontline managerial performance. He also holds a B.Pharm, PGDM in Marketing, and M.Com, integrating pharmaceutical expertise with management knowledge. Dr. Naik’s corporate career includes leadership roles at Abbott Truecare Pharma Ltd, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd, Novo Nordisk India Pvt Ltd, and Morepen Laboratories Ltd, where he managed regional sales operations and teams. His research is indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, with publications in pharmaceutical marketing, artificial intelligence, healthcare informatics, and brand management. He actively organizes FDPs, chairs conferences, and undertakes consultancy and training assignments. He is committed to strengthening industry–academia collaboration and mentoring students for careers in healthcare and pharmaceutical management.
