Dr. Tara.M.S. is working as Adjunct professor at the IIHMR Bengaluru. She has a doctoral degree in Community Nutrition from Manasa Gangothri University of Mysore . She has formerly served as Regional Director at National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child development for ten years where she has facilitated the organisation’s capability and size. Her Key strengths are Teaching , Training and Research activities in the twin field of women and Child-development.
Dr. Tara brings over three decades of experience in the development sector. In particular, she has worked extensively across the country to Avert ‘Under Nutrition’ among women and Children. Post retirement from the Govt, she has also provided consultancy services to various organisations, National and International Organisations, and the Corporate sector, including civil society organisations . She has served on several Government committees/task forces that are committed to improving the governance of various sectors . She is actively associated with the Planning, Program monitoring, and Statistics Department, Government of Karnataka. She has been contributing to and supporting various organisations that are working towards SDG in Karnataka.
Her core skills include policy research, advocacy, capacity building, program implementation strategies, and designing interventions.
