Possessing over 11 years of professional expertise that spans both industry and academia, with a significant focus on extensive industry experience, Mr. Shamsuzzaman Ansari currently holds the position of Associate Professor at IIHMR Bangalore and imparts knowledge in the area of pharmaceutical sales and marketing, pharmaceutical competitive intelligence, market research and Pharmacoeconomics. Mr. Shamsuzzaman Ansari is also associated with VRB Analytics as Strategic Advisor.

Mr. Shamsuzzaman Ansari is a pharmacy graduate (B. Pharm) from the School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Jamia Hamdard and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) with specialization in Marketing from Aligarh Muslim University. He has also qualified University Grants Commission (UGC)- NET in Management.

Before joining IIHMR Bangalore, he was working as a Market Research CONSULTANT with IQVIA wherein he was responsible for end-to-end project management and delivering of IQVIA Market Prognosis reports for Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, Hungary, Thailand, South Korea, and Hong Kong. This involved extensive secondary research, primary research interviews (virtual as well as face-to-face) with key stakeholders from the assigned countries, developing insights on various aspects of pharmaceutical industry, sales forecast at the country as well as panel level and report writing. Prior to IQVIA, he was associated with WNS, ZS Associates and Transparency Market Research (TMR).

During his tenure in the industry, he had the chance to undertake business-related travels abroad, visiting countries such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Ansari has authored several articles and blogs, which have been published on publicly accessible portals.
