Objective
The IDEATHON organized by the Entrepreneurship Club of IIHMR Bangalore, in collaboration with the IEDC and ADMIRE Centre, aims to foster innovation, creativity, and problem-solving among students and young entrepreneurs by providing a dynamic platform to present actionable and solution-oriented ideas. The event encourages participants to explore pressing challenges, particularly in healthcare, through collaboration, mentorship, and interactive pitching sessions. By offering a space to shape potential ideas into viable solutions, the IDEATHON seeks to empower participants with the insights, guidance, and confidence needed to advance their entrepreneurial journey and contribute meaningfully to societal and healthcare advancements.

Ideathon at IIHMR Bangalore

The Entrepreneurship Club of IIHMR Bangalore, in collaboration with Eureka 2025 — Asia’s Largest Business Model Competition, organized an Ideathon on 22nd August 2025. The event served as an engaging platform for students and young innovators to showcase their entrepreneurial spirit, presenting bold and practical solutions to pressing challenges in healthcare and beyond.

The Ideathon was organized under the supervision of Dr. Anjali, E-Cell Club Lead, and Mr. Sachin S Bhat, Assistant Professor & Program Manager ADMIRE, IEDC-IIC President at IIHMR Bangalore, whose vision and guidance shaped the event.

Event Highlights

The event was hosted by Sushma Dass, first-year PGDM student, who set an inspiring tone by emphasizing the importance of innovation and collaboration.

  • Distinguished guests included Falguni, Mr. Shamsuzzaman Ansari, Dr. Isha Maharana, and Dr. Sarthak Sengupta, whose presence and insights elevated the event.
  • Each participating team was given five minutes to pitch their idea, followed by an interactive Q&A session with the judges.

After evaluation, the winners were announced as follows

Second Place – FuelBox by Sakshi Shimpi

Third Place – CureConnect by Dr. Pooja Gupta

The event witnessed several innovative ideas, each addressing critical gaps in healthcare and society
  • Team Healthspine India (Swapna Sahoo, Harsha Vardhan PS, Naga Shashank G)A one-stop digital platform simplifying domestic medical travel in India through hospital comparisons, appointment scheduling, and accommodation support.
  • FuelBox (Sakshi Shimpi) Smart vending machines delivering personalized protein shakes within 30 seconds, addressing accessibility and convenience in nutrition.
  • CureConnect (Dr. Pooja Gupta) An ABHA-linked app enabling patients to store and share their medical records securely, reducing costs and avoiding repeated tests.
  • MindSpace (Drushya Barapatre) Low-cost digital support groups and a planned app to make mental health counseling accessible and stigma-free for young people.
  • Boosting Patient Education for Better Health (Sai Chaitanya) Dedicated counseling doctors to simplify medical information for patients, enhancing adherence and satisfaction.
  • Medin App (Kankana Dhar) A digital hub for healthcare professionals to collaborate, exchange knowledge, and discover innovative solutions.
  • Medescalate (Munish Kumar M) A 360° growth partner to help healthcare startups overcome regulatory, funding, and branding challenges.
  •  Fixigo (Dr. Kataram Swetha) A platform offering pickup–repair–delivery services for appliances and gadgets, positioning itself as the “Uber for Repairs.” By making repairs convenient, reliable, and sustainable, Fixigo reduces e-waste and builds a scalable ecosystem.

Conclusion and Acknowledgments

The Ideathon concluded with a group photo and a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the judges, mentors, participants, and the ADMIRE team for their valuable contributions.

More than just a competition, the event was a celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration, providing a launchpad for innovative ideas that hold the potential to transform healthcare and society.
